Virtue Solaris is officially registered as a PV Retailer with Malta’s Regulator for Energy and Water Services (REWS) and all PV products such as inverters, battery systems and solar panels offered to our customers have also been officially registered with the government regulator after passing rigorous checks and certifications. This means that solar PV and energy storage systems being offered by Virtue Solaris are eligible for participation in Malta’s government grants scheme.
2026 government grants
Under 2026 grants scheme, households can benefit from:
- Up to €3,000 grant or up to 65% of eligible costs / €645 per kWp on the purchase of solar PV system with hybrid inverter;
- Up to €6,000 grant or up to 75% of eligible costs / €600 per kWh on the purchase of home battery system;
- Up to €1,800 grant or up to 75% of the costs / €350 per kWp on replacing old inverter with a new hybrid (battery-ready) model – this option applies only for grid-connected PV systems that have been installed more than 6 years ago, provided that battery system is also added;
- Additionally, up to 5% of eligible costs extra incentive bonus applies for technologies that are produced entirely in the EU and are compliant with NZIA criteria.
Someone installing a PV system with hybrid inverter and 10kWh battery system can benefit from a whooping total of EUR 9,000 in government grants.
This essentially means that one can acquire a top notch solar PV and home battery system, with Tier 1 brands and world-class peace of mind warranty for only a fraction of total system costs.
Virtue Solaris will guide and assist its clients at every step of the process, from advising on the best grant option for customers’ maximum benefit to preparing all paperwork, and follow up on every application to secure these grants.
